Participation in online therapy requires that you have a private space to talk, connection to the internet and a webcam. Your information remains confidential, just as it does with in-person therapy.

Individual therapy is a therapeutic process that is collaborative, supportive and adapted to meet your individual needs. Our therapists work to create a space for people to be fully human and authentic. Although the therapeutic styles vary from therapist to therapist, we collectively lead with compassion, authenticity and non-judgment.
‘Walk & Talk’ Therapy
Available to clients in calgary, ab*.
Walk and Talk therapy combines the benefits of traditional therapy with the rejuvenating power of nature. Engage in meaningful conversations while walking in a peaceful outdoor setting, fostering both mental and physical well-being. Movement and fresh air is a great way to process and connect to yourself.

Consultations are not therapy, but rather a chance for you to meet with a therapist prior to committing to a full session. You can use this session to ask questions about how your therapist works, ensure that their expertise aligns with your needs and goals, and get a sense about whether you can feel safe and open with your therapist.

Fees for individual therapy are $230 per 50-minute appointment. Payment is due following the received service. Payment can be made by e-transfer or with any major credit card.

At the first appointment you can expect to begin with an orientation to therapy. We will review the consent procedures with you and ensure that all of your questions are answered. You can expect to be informed about how the process of therapy works and how we will work with you. A comprehensive intake will occur where we spend time getting to know you, your needs, your strengths and the challenges you are facing. We will work together to set goals and create actionable steps.

You do not need a referral to access services at Risewell Psychology. However, some insurance companies require a physician’s referral for coverage purposes. So we recommend checking with your insurance company prior to booking your first session.

At this time, we do not direct bill to insurance companies. Receipts will be issued for insurance and tax deduction purposes.

Most Extended Health Care Plans cover the cost of psychological services. Before your first appointment, you may wish to contact your employer or benefits provider about health coverage options.
Any fees paid to a Registered Psychologist (that are not reimbursed by an insurance provider) are considered a tax-deductible health expense.
